Statistical Consulting
Our statistical consulting services provide expert methodological support to researchers at all stages of the research and publication process, from study planning to manuscript submission and peer-review revision. We work collaboratively with authors to evaluate study design, define appropriate endpoints, and select statistical methods that are aligned with the research objectives, data structure, and study type.
Services include assessment of sample size considerations, statistical power, variable selection, handling of missing data, and suitability of analytical approaches for observational studies, clinical trials, diagnostic accuracy studies, and systematic reviews. We review statistical analyses for correctness, internal consistency, and interpretability, identifying potential methodological weaknesses, misapplications of tests, or inconsistencies between data, results, and conclusions.
In addition, we optimize statistical reporting within manuscripts in accordance with international standards and journal expectations. This includes improving clarity in the methods and results sections, ensuring appropriate presentation of effect sizes, confidence intervals, p-values, and assumptions, and aligning statistical descriptions with reporting guidelines such as CONSORT, STROBE, PRISMA, and SAMPL. Tables, figures, and supplementary materials are reviewed for accuracy, transparency, and reproducibility.
We also provide targeted support during peer-review by helping authors interpret and respond to statistical reviewer comments, revise analyses where necessary, and clearly justify methodological decisions. The overarching goal of our statistical consulting service is to strengthen methodological rigor, enhance transparency and reproducibility, and significantly reduce the risk of rejection or major revision due to statistical concerns—allowing the scientific contribution of the study to be evaluated on its true merits.
