Details
As the Sleep Medicine Working Group of the Turkish Neurology Society, we are proud to present this book, the result of a year of meticulous work and collaboration. While prepared under the Society’s auspices, it also brings together contributions from experts across multiple disciplines in Turkey who are dedicated to sleep medicine.
The book consists of nine chapters covering the history, physiology, and neural mechanisms of sleep; patient evaluation; clinical and laboratory assessments; detailed discussions of sleep disorders; sleep pharmacology and electrophysiology; comorbid conditions and special patient groups; sleep laboratory practices; and emerging topics such as cognition, genetics, and immune system interactions.
All chapters reflect the latest literature, guidelines, and the authors’ extensive experience. We hope this work serves as a valuable resource for the sleep medicine community and all physicians interested in advancing the understanding and practice of sleep medicine in Turkey and beyond.
